Excellent care after a monkey bite – highly recommended

During my trip to Thailand, I was unfortunately bitten by a monkey. I received treatment at Doctor Now, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Sukrit Thanasrivanichai and his entire team.

From the first moment, they were incredibly professional, compassionate, and efficient. Dr. Sukrit cleaned the wounds carefully, applied local antibiotics, and performed a minor drainage where necessary. He explained everything with clarity and calm, which helped me stay relaxed in what was a very stressful situation for me.

I returned to the clinic every day for the necessary wound care and follow-up treatment. The team was consistently attentive, warm, and professional. On the last day, when my travel insurance no longer covered the visit, Dr. Sukrit kindly treated me free of charge, which I deeply appreciate.

Desde el primer momento fueron increíblemente profesionales, atentos y eficientes. El Dr. Sukrit limpió cuidadosamente las heridas, aplicó antibióticos locales y realizó un pequeño drenaje donde fue necesario. Explicó todo con claridad y serenidad, lo cual me ayudó a mantener la calma en una situación muy estresante para mí.

Ich hatte nach einem Rollerunfall in Thailand zwei Tage lang Schmerzen und Eiterbildung, also suchte ich medizinische Hilfe – und ich bin so froh, diesen Arzt gefunden zu haben! Die Behandlung war äußerst professionell, gründlich und einfühlsam.

Nikdy v živote sme sa nestretli s tak skvelým a profesionálnym prístupom od lekárov. Neskutočne láskáví a milí ľudia. Odkedy nás prijali, každú chvíľu sledovali, či sme v poriadku a snažili sa nám vo všetkom vyhovieť, poradiť. Na konci sme dostali aj malú pozornosť, ktorá nás dojala k slzám.

Nachdem ich auf dem Weg zum Monkey Trail unglücklich aufs Knie gestürzt bin und eine Schieferplatte einen tiefen Schnitt verursacht hat, haben wir die Clinic von Doctornow aufgesucht. Ich wurde sofort kompetent und fürsorglich versorgt – die tiefe Wunde musste mit drei Stichen genäht werden. Der Arzt hat mich mit allen notwendigen Medikamenten versorgt. Auch die weitere Behandlund der Wunde ist von der Klinik gemacht worden! Ich habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Mittlerweile sind die Fäden in einer Klinik in Koh Lanta, an unserem nächsten Ziel, gezogen worden und ich freue mich aufs Schwimmen ☺️ Dank der professionellen Behandlund und Versorgung mit den notwendigen Medikamenten ist die Wunde gut zusammengewachsen und hat sich nicht entzündet!! TAUSEND DANK 🥰

I got COVID and as an asthmatic and diabetic, it hit me hard in the lungs. DoctorNow was open, on a Sunday evening. With no wait, they took me in and gave me amazing and appropriate care. The doctor was perhaps my favorite doctor I’ve ever had, anywhere: knowledgeable, kind, never condescending. They were able to confirm bacterial infection, give me an antibiotic injection, nebulizer treatment ro clear my lungs, and rehydration (they even were able to do this while not giving sugars). I left with all the needed meds in hand and feeling soooo much better. A follow up visit 2 days later was provided for free. It was great care.

Nach 6 Tagen Bauchschmerzen und Durchfall entschied ich mich einen Arzt aufzusuchen und das Hotel empfahl die Praxis Doctornow. Zunächst führte ich ein Telefonat mit dem Arzt und schilderte die Symptome. Er erklärte mir, dass für eine genaue Diagnose und die entsprechende Medikation eine Blutentnahme notwendig sei und ich erhielt einen Termin 1.5 Stunden später. Bei der Praxis wurde ich bereits vor der Türe freundlich empfangen und das Team kümmerte sich sofort um mich, ohne Wartezeit. Der Arzt erklärte mir alle Schritte, die Resultate der Blutprobe, die Diagnose und die Behandlung. Ich erhielt mehrere Infusionen gegen Dehydration und mit Antibiotika. Die Bauchschmerzen liessen sofort nach. Für die weitere Behandlung erhielt ich weitere Antibiotika und Tabletten gegen Magenkrämpfe und Durchfall. Auch da wurde ich umfassend aufgeklärt und erhielt für meine Versicherung sämtliche Berichte.
Am Folgetag erhielt ich eine Nachfrage zu meinem Gesundheitszustand per Whatsapp, zudem bestand die Möglichkeit mich bei Fragen zu melden.
Die Behandlung war absolut professionell, fürsorglich, empathisch und ich fühlte mich von Anfang an in guten Händen. Mir ging es sofort besser, so dass ich die letzten Tage in Thailand noch geniessen kann.

During my holiday, I fell ill, got some infection from food or water most likely. I arrived at this clinic feeling absolutely awful—burning with a high fever, dizzy, and nauseous. It was already late in the evening, but Dr. Sukrit and his team provided exceptional care. He was incredibly attentive, and the nurses and doctor frequently checked on me throughout my IV treatment, explaining everything in detail. Their warmth and dedication were truly touching. They even stayed until 10:30 PM to ensure I received the necessary treatment.

The next day I already felt much better and doctor asked me to come in for a next day check up to make sure I am good. He even told to contact him in case I have questions or don’t feel good. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the people who work here.

Due to a rather deep wound on my foot, I have unfortunately already been to several medical facilities here over several weeks, but Dr. Now is definitely the best address for tourists in Krabi and the surrounding area!

Both our children fell sick after our first night in Ao Nang. After a few hours, we went to Doctor Now and the doctor and the nurses saved our holidays.

They quickly ran some tests to confirm what was the problem and then the children were treated accordingly. We spent a couple of hours in the clinic until they were feeling better and during that time, they were checked several times.

We left with some medications and they still check up on the children health several times afterwards.

The children were already better 24h after being seeing and we still manage to enjoy the rest of our stay here thanks to the clinic.

The nurses and doctor have been nothing but extremely caring and professional.

Ich kam mit hohem Fieber und einem bakteriellen Infekt in die Praxis. Ich dachte zunächst es wäre ein Sonnenstich, jedoch konnte das Team durch Blutabnahme und Auswertung vor Ort schnell feststellen was es ist. Von Beginn an fühlte ich mich in der Praxis wohl und gut aufgehoben. Auch während der 4 Stunden Aufenthalt wurde ich – und sogar meine Begleitung – sehr gut versorgt. Die ehrliche und liebevolle Fürsorge des gesamten Teams ist unglaublich. Selbst nachdem ich 2 Tage später noch einmal zur Kontrolle dort war, bekam ich die Möglichkeit mich per WhatsApp zu melden und sie erkundigten sich auch später noch einmal nach meinem Zustand. Das gab mir für meine Weiterreise ein sehr sicheres Gefühl. Das gesamte Team macht einen fantastischen Job! ♥️

Durante il mio soggiorno ad Ao Nang, ho avuto bisogno di assistenza medica e ho scelto la clinica DoctorNow. La clinica è situata in una posizione centrale, all’interno dell’Ava Sea Resort, a soli 100 metri da Starbucks e di fronte all’Holiday Inn Resort, rendendola facilmente accessibile.

Il dottore è presente e super preparato, ha assistito la mia ragazza come nessuno.
Analisi del sangue ed urina pronte in 15min così abbiamo saputo subito come agire. Nel giro di 2h la mia ragazza è passata da 40° di febbre a 36.

ardzo polecam ta klinikę. Najlepsza opieka jakiej doświadczyłam zarówno w kraju jak i za granicą. Wszyscy bardzo troskliwi, upewniali się czy niczego nie potrzebuje. Kompleksowe badanie i diagnoza przez lekarza, który wszystko omówił i wyjaśnił. Bardzo interesuja się pacjentem – umówili mi od razu darmowa wizytę kontrolną przed wylotem 😉

My son (2 years) had suffered from severe vomitting throughout the night during our stay in Krabi.
So I went to Dr. Now.
He examined him very diligently and recommended an IV to replace the fluid, minerals and Sugar as well as medicine to stop the nausea. He conducted a blood exam as well to find the cause.
During our stay at the clinic (2 hrs) we felt extremely well taken care of by the entire team. Everyone at the clinic is very friendly, caring and sympathetic. Dr. Now explained his diagnosis and therapy in detail and was always available for help.
After our visit at the clinic my son felt much better and we were able to continue our holiday. Dr. Now had anticipated likely symptoms in the upcoming days and provided us with medicine to take with us. This was such a great help as things turned out exactly the way he had foreseen.

As we changed our location from Krabi to Phuket, we did not go to the clinic again. However Dr. Now consistently asked about the wellbeing of our little son via WhatsApp and answered all our questions promptly.

Ich war spontan in der Praxis da sich eine Wunde die ich mir an einer Koralle zugezogen hatte entzündete. Ich wurde direkt sehr freundlich vom Personal empfangen. Die Wunde wurde begutachtet und auch gleich Fieber und Blutdruck gemessen. Nach einer kurzen Wartezeit bin ich direkt in das Behandlungszimmer geführt worden wo der Arzt sogleich die Wunde inspezierte und dann die Behandlung sowie Kosten erklärte und durchführte. Ebenfalls wurde mir detailiert erklärt wie die Kosten durch die Reisekrankenversicherung übernommen werden. Nach Abschluss der Behandlung erhielt ich Antibiotika, einen detalierten Arztbericht sowie die Rechnung mit welchen ich ohne Komplikationen die Erstattung durch meine Reisekrankenversicherung erhielt. 2 Tage nach der Behandlung hatte ich einen Termin zur Nachkontrolle, bei welchem die Wunde noch einmal gereinigt und neu verbunden wurde. Ich erhielt ein Set zur Wundpflege zur Eigenbehandlung.
Alles in Allem war der Service hervorragend.

J’ai été suivie au Docteur Now à Ao Nang, et je ne peux que les remercier du fond du cœur. Toute l’équipe a été adorable, bienveillante et très professionnelle. Après une première visite pour une grosse déshydratation, ils m’ont permis de revenir gratuitement pour finaliser les soins, ont pris régulièrement de mes nouvelles, et ont tout fait pour que je me sente mieux au plus vite.

En tant que touriste, loin de chez moi, c’était incroyablement rassurant d’être aussi bien accompagnée. Je fais cet avis aujourd’hui car je suis totalement guérie, et je sais que si je devais à nouveau avoir un souci, j’y retournerais sans hésiter.

Tout a été simple : la prise de rendez-vous sur WhatsApp, la communication claire sur les soins et les assurances (qu’ils gèrent très bien), et surtout, la gentillesse de chacun. C’est un vrai plus par rapport à d’autres expériences à l’étranger. Un immense merci à eux ! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

그래서 첫 문장에 어느 나라 사람인게 중요하지 않다고 적었습니다. 직원들은 통역기에 상세한 내용을 설명해주고 혹시나 놓칠까봐 정말 여러번 확인헸습니다.
첫날 병원에 갔고 진료를 받은 후 약을 받아왔는데 크게 나아지지는 않았습니다. 이 경우 못 믿어서 아니면 진상으로 보일까봐 많이 고민되는데 다음날, 그 다음날도 가서 진료를 받고 링거도 맞았습니다.(첫날 이후 환자 케어 차원에서 무료)

I got really sick and had high fever during the holidays in Thailand. I came to this clinic as they were next to our hotel and it was the best decision. I was extremely well taken care of, the nurses and the doctor took time to listen and examinate me and gave me medication that got me back on my feet the next day ☺️

They also gave my wife medication as I had a viral infection and ask me to come for a check (free of charge) on the day before I flew back home.

In the end they gave us some little souvenirs, as well as some bags with electrolyte powder ☺️😊

Abbiamo avuto bisogno di un dottore urgentemente poiché il mio compagno ha avuto un’intossicazione molto grave e stava davvero male.
Ho trovato questa clinica su google e presa dal panico ho chiamato subito.
Fin da subito gentilissimi, mi hanno dato appuntamento dopo un’ora e ci aspettavano già fuori per accoglierci.
Ci hanno tranquillizzati subito e il dottore in 15 minuti aveva già fatto gli esami del sangue e aveva gli esiti. Si è preoccupato di far capire tutto al mio compagno anche se io parlavo inglese. Prima di procedere in modo corretto ci ha detto di quanto sarebbe stata la cifra per le cure e in 2 ore lo ha fatto uscire nuovo.

Mon fils a été prit de fort vomissements et de fievre. Il a été pris en charge de suite. Le personnel est super adorable et professionnel c’est très propre. Le docteur explique point par point le déroulement de l’examen ainsi que le traitement. Ils expliquent aussi bien les modalités de paiement et ça des le depart pour eviter toutes surprises.
Mon fils a fait une prise de sang et à ressus des perfusions d’hydratation d’antibiotiques et d’anti douleur anti vomissement infecté par une bacterie aux intestins.

I would really recommend DoctorNow medical clinic to anyone who needs a doctor in Krabi. I had very bad food poisoning and I was very anxious to go to the doctors as I was in a different country but I have never felt as safe as I did with Dr Sukrin and all his staff.

As soon as I arrived they were waiting for me with massive smiles which made me feel so relaxed and I didn’t have to wait at all they started treating me straight away.

Dr Sukrin and his staff were so professional, so kind and so caring they explained everything to me in extreme detail so I knew what was happening the whole time. The clinic was also absolutely spotless and clean.

During my treatment the doctor and his nurses checked up on me every 2 minutes and made me feel so comfortable. He arranged to check up on me a couple days later in the clinic to see how I was and also let me WhatsApp him whenever I had any questions or needed any assistance.

I wish the doctors in England were this good and I wish he was my doctor all the time! They also provided me with every document I needed for my travel insurance and all the medication I needed for my treatment.

I really couldn’t recommend this clinic enough although I was very unlucky to have got food poisoning I was very lucky to have had such amazing people look after me! They also gave me a lovely bracelet to!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Doctor Now. I had been feeling sick for days so I found this clinic on Google and I am so glad I did!! He diagnosed me with strep throat and got me started on IV fluids and antibiotics right away. There was literally no wait they started treating me before I even fully walked through the door. Dr. Sukrit and his staff acted with professionalism and kindness that is so rare to find in healthcare. If you are sick in Ao Nang this is the place to go. I wish this kind of care existed in the United States!

Outstanding experience! I got bitten by a stray dog and needed rabies vaccine shots, IV antibiotics as well as wound treatment. Both the Doctor and nurses handled the case with utmost professionalism, care and speed. I had to go to clinic several times; the place is impeccably clean, organized, and just a pleasure to visit. The prices are very reasonable for the high level of care they provide. I only wish we had clinics like that in the USA. Thank you Dr. and the nurses!

The staff all speak English very well, I felt super safe and taken care of, they helped me right away when I walked in, and I truly understood what I needed to do for aftercare and medicine! I got hit by a motorcycle and originally was sent to the emergency room in the Krabi hospital, and though they were also super helpful and also probably saved me from bleeding out, there was more of a language barrier and I didn’t feel as comfortable or understand the staff as well as I did when I went here! They took pictures of my wounds to track the healing process, as well as to make it easier for me to see them. They also have WhatsApp so I could easily text them whenever needed! I definitely recommend visiting here if you are in need of English speaking medical care in the Krabi/Ao Nang area!

Update: after seeing them almost every day for 3 weeks, they really took care of me and I felt so safe with them. I also had some other medical ailments while in Ao Nang, and they were able to give me medicine and advice for that, and they even responded to a WhatsApp message I sent at 12:30am, after the clinic was closed, to help me! They went above and beyond and also got to know me as a person and even gifted me a little cat and rabbit keychain after learning that cats are my favorite animal. They are the kindest medical team and this has been the best and most attentive medical care I have ever received, I can’t recommend them enough!

One of the best medical clinics I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! The staff are super friendly from the receptionist to the doctor and very professional, making you feel safe and cared for, throughout.

I was even provided with additional dressing to treat my wounds once I get home, along with a WhatsApp contact number to update the team on my recovery. This also helped me relax knowing they were still concerned with my recovery.

I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to Dr Sukrit and his team here at DoctorNow. The staff here have provided excellent service and empathy to patients. Warm loving care and concern was given as well which I feel is necessary to ensure a speedy recovery.

This is by far the best doctor I have ever came across and never would I have imagined for it to be overseas. Look no further if you are in need of medical services. Definitely give this place a visit and I ensure you will not regret it! My partner was having fever, coughs and headaches so I requested for a hotel visit and upon verifying my partners symptoms they urged me to visit the clinic. On 2nd October 2024 we visited at about 6pm. Despite not having an appointment we were attended to relatively fast. The front line nurses were very welcoming and Dr Sukrit managed to give us the diagnosis and treatment options.

The nurses were constantly checking on us and I really appreciate their attention to detail on such minor things like pillow placement for comfort, a prompt insertion of IV drip (fear of needles) and bringing us water and tissues without having to request for it.

They even gave us a little “get well soon” bracelet to which my partner was ecstatic about. They urged us to do a follow up checkup as the infection might have spread and there is no additional cost.

I’m really impressed by the care and love given here at DoctorNow Ao Nang. Once again, i would like to thank everyone for the excellent service rendered. Our Krabi trip was saved thanks to our visit here. I even joked saying my partner would like to fall sick just so she can visit again.

Dr Sukrit explained everything so clearly…. From the bacteria that I was infected with, to my blood test reading and the drips that they had prepared for me.

Me and my friend has second degree burns to our legs which we’re getting infected. We had previously gone to the pharmacist who had wrongly advised us how to look after this making the burn worse. We decided to find a clinic/hospital and thank goodness we did! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left and days after we were reassured. The whole team are so lovely and smiley and really reassuring, English is amazing throughout which really helped us understand what we needed to do. With our travel insurance the team made it so easy and clear how to sort this by using a qr code or giving us an envelope with all we needed in. They examined us , explained the process, cleaned the burn and dressed it all for us, then arranged a follow up the next day aswell as providing a WhatsApp number to call or message if we needed further advice. The burn massively improved by the next day , and they gave us all the aftercare bandages/ crutches to take to our next stop.

We can’t thank the whole team enough for helping us, we highly recommend and if you’re thinking about going to a pharmacy I promise it’s easier to just go to this place instead!

I came down with stomach sickness the day before my international flight home-after 24 hours of non-stop sickness, I was in rough shape and didn’t think I would be able to make my flight. I used WhatsApp to speak with the clinic in the early morning and was advised to arrive as soon as they opened so they could run lab work and get me started on on IV Drip. I was greeted right at the door and quickly shown to a cubical, which was very clean, modern, and comfortable. I was rapidly attended to by both the nurses and the doctor, who all explained clearly what was taking place every step of the way. The lab work confirmed a bacterial infection and I was started on IV antibiotics and anti-nausea medications.

Within a short time I was feeling much better and after two hours I was in significantly better shape. It really felt like a miracle. Nothing ever felt rushed and I was checked in on by the nurses and doctor who made sure I was comfortable at every point.

When I was ready to leave, I was given every medication I needed to continue my recovery, along with clear instructions. Thanks to the care I received, I was able to make my flight later than day, which would have been impossible without their help. I am very thankful for the excellent care and kindness received from the entire staff!

The nursing team welcomed us, did tests for us, explained to us what was going to happen from now on and took care of us at the highest level
We went in to see the doctor and he was the most professional there is, explained everything to us, taught us about the examination and treatment process and was the most tolerant of all our questions
We started the treatment and the team was simply professional at the highest level!
We didn’t feel any concern and it was clear to us that we were in the best hands in the world!

When the treatment was over, the doctor instructed us on what to do next and also explained to us exactly what we needed to do for the rest of the trip.
There is no doubt that choosing Dr. Sukrit and Nurse Mint. was our best choice and how good it is to have a professional clinic like his in Thailand!

5 stars to Dr Sukrit, Nurse Mint (Narisara Saiyasitpanichai) and the rest of the team. The nurse came across to my hotel with a wheelchair as I couldn’t take 5 steps without vomiting. They were so caring and attentive, even the nurses rubbed my back while I vomited. I was seen promptly, and the nurses were always checking on me. Dr S explained all my blood test information and what infection I had so I could easily understand. I was treated with antibiotic drip and given further medication with clear instructions. I came back 2 days later and got another drip.

They were so nice to my friends who were visiting me and even gave us bracelets which warmed our hearts!
I wish I could bring these guys back to Australia with me! Best service I have ever received :)!

I was unfortunate enough to to suffer a pretty bad cut under my big toe walking up the road to the night markets. Fortunately we were staying at Panan resort and had walked past Doctor now just hours before so we jumped straight into a tuk tuk and went straight to the clinic.

The entire team at Doctor Now were excellent! They got me in very quickly and got to the big job of cleaning the wound and stitching it as well as giving me the required IV antibiotics and tetinus booster. The follow up care was also excellent with them seeing me twice more (at no cost) and supplying all the required medications and materials to keep my foot clean and safe to allow healing. They were also great with my family and particularly my daughter.

On returning to Australia today I visited my local GP to have the injury assessed and stitches removed. My doctor and nurse remarked on what a great job Doctor now had done cleaning and stitching the wound in such a hard place and the quick healing was a testiment to that.

Honestly I hope nobody has to visit a doctor on holiday but if you do need a doctor in Ao Nang, I highly recommend Doctor Now.

BEST DOCTORS IN THAILAND! After falling ill in Koh Lanta I needed to find a doctors in our next destination at Ao Nang. We found this place online and contacted them on WhatsApp after reading all their wonderful reviews. The staff could not do enough for us. Genuinely the most amazing, kind and caring team.

Dr Sukrit was extremely helpful and helped to calm my nerves. He did thorough examinations to rule out more serious outcomes and explained everything to us. After 10 minutes in here I immediately started to feel better as the nurses were very quick to begin my treatment of IV drips.

Nurse Narisara Saiyasitpanichai (Mint) was so so so kind, she goes above and beyond for all her patients. I told her I was nervous and she sat and spoke to me about other things to take my mind off it and gave us both a really good laugh.

After the treatment, Nurse Mint has kept up with us on WhatsApp ever since to check if I’m okay and replies almost instantly to any questions that we have regarding food I can eat/side effects of tablets etc. they even offered to help us out wherever we are in Thailand with medical help if they can do so.

Honestly can not recommend this place enough. Was probably my favourite part of Ao Nang🤣 thank you so much to all the staff who looked after me and got me back to good health in no time. You saved our holiday and we are extremely grateful to you always!
